“I feel this is beneficial I have residual solutions left in wells even after one night.”

I visited one researcher who purchased our RAPID EPS and RAPID Slit Seal and asked him about how he applies these products for his study and also his impressions of these two products.

Interviewee:
The researcher from one big pharmaceutical company.

BioChromato

Thank you for your time today. Would you tell us how you are using our RAPID Slit Seal?

User

As plate seals, I use your RAPID EPS and RAPID Slit Seal to cover 96-well microplates that are set for auto samplers of HPLC, LC or MS devices. For the auto sampler from Company “S” we use RAPID EPS, and for the one from Company “T” we use RAPID Slit Seal.

BioChromato

Thank you for using both RAPID EPS and RAPID Slit Seal! How do you use those two different products properly?

User

At first, I used RAPID EPS with autosamplers of both companies, but I had needles clogged for several times with the device from Company “T”. The device and seals did not seem to have the good compatibility, so I asked you for free sample of RAPID Slit Seal which is designed not needles to have contact to the adhesive layer. We have no problems of clogging since after I switch to RAPID Slit Seal.

BioChromato

RAPID Slit Seals that have slits on well spots are able to close after having pierced by needles, and this is one of the features of this product. How do you find about this feature?

User

With RAPID Slit Seals, the solvent is not more likely to evaporate than with RAPID EPS in which needles punch through seals.  This is also because the inside of autosampler is refrigerated. I feel it is beneficial we have residual solvent left in wells even after one night. There are some cases we want to use the residual samples for repeated or other analysis. We now have fewer burdens to reconstitute samples.

BioChromato

Thank you very much! At last, do you have any ideas about the further improvement of these products?

User

When using RAPID EPS, that leaves marks indicating where the needles pierce up to, so I can tell how far I have done. In case with RAPID Slit Seal, it does not remain marks so I cannot easily tell where I have stopped.

BioChromato

I see. If you can easily tell how far you have done, then it will prevent from inserting into the same well.

User

Some researchers make marks with pens on RAPID Slit Seals to let them show how far they have used.

BioChromato

I see. If there is a small mark on RAPID Slit Seal which indicates users where the needle stops, it may visibly become easier for processing their tests. Thank you for your ideas, and we would like to reflect those to our further developments. Thank you for arranging your time while you are busy.

Summary

I was very happy that the researchers use both RAPID EPS and RAPID Slit Seal properly. It is our pleasure to know how the products are used and how those make our customers satisfied and happy. And also, we appreciate for customer’s opinions about our products, and would like to refer those to our further developments especially to where is needed to improve. We would like to continue the development of products that are helpful and joyful for many people.
